Highlighting the spirit of the day, PM Modi urged all citizens to actively support the welfare of military families and veterans by contributing to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. This essential fund is dedicated to providing support for war-disabled soldiers, Veer Naris (war widows), and their dependents.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan also extended their greetings, acknowledging the resolute service and sacrifices made by the armed forces.

Armed Forces Flag Day has been observed since 1949, serving a dual purpose: honouring the martyrs and soldiers who safeguard the nation’s honor, and raising funds vital for the welfare of armed forces personnel and their families.
